New Automotive Foundry in Brazil
METALSIDER, a pig iron producer based in charcoal blast furnaces, started up a foundry for automotive castings.
This plant can produce 60,000 tons per year of gray and ductile iron castings, using hot metal from the blast furnaces, processed in induction furnaces.
