Short courses in company on Scrap Yard and Electric Arc Furnace

With an attendance of thirty, and Dr. Sara Hornby, Jorge Madias and Alberto Moreno as lecturers, both courses took place at a Latin American steel company.

The first course covered aspects like scrap market, charge optimization, existing scrap types, control at reception, scrap preparation and other metallics. The second one dealt with the charging practice, auxiliary raw materials, equipment and operation of the furnace and the metallurgical aspects.
