Metallography: Boilers and I-beams

Recent metallography jobs at metallon included the study of micrographies taken with a portable microscope, of two boilers and three I-beams.

In the first case, the degradation of the microstructure along the operating life of the boilers was assessed. In the second case, the aim was to evaluate the effect of heat during welding, on the microstructure of the surface opposed to the welding zone.
